Cost: The troop leader has 3 choices: -$18.95 per scout to make one (1) clay basket using the coil technique. -$18.95 per scout to make one (1) ring holder using the pinch technique. -$28.95 per scout to create one (1) critter bowl using the pinch technique. What you get: 1. 1 hour of studio time. 2. Ages from 5 to 16 (Some younger children may need adult assistance) 3. A dedicated Glazey Dayz staff member that will guide the scouts through the clay pottery process and provide creative assistance all along the way. 4. Studio time, paint, glazing and firing are included in the pricing 5. Individually wrapped pieces for pickup. 6. Glazey Dayz Certificate that the scout has learned about the basics of pottery making. How it works 1. Clay classes are by reservation only and require a minimum of 8 scouts working with clay, 2. To reserve the Scout Party a $50 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the date and time slot. The $50 will be applied to the final bill on the day of the event. 3. Classes are TWO different sessions. The first session is to learn the process and create the piece. After a week of drying and then being fired, the scouts will come back two weeks later at a set date and time to paint their pieces. If the scout cannot attend at that time, they may come back to the studio at their own convenience to paint their piece but will need to pay the normal return studio fee of $8hr. 4.Please keep in mind that due to the nature of clay there may be variations and imperfections, these are what make them an original piece of art. 5. Encourage your guests to arrive 10 minutes before the event as we will need to start the session on time, and it is important to be present to learn what each scout will need to do. 6. Make sure your guests are aware that there will be the second session mentioned above where they return to paint the piece and then an additional week for the painted piece to be fired and ready to take home. 7. We will hold finished work for up to 60 days. If they are not picked up at that time they do get donated and will no longer be available for pick up.
